This keto chocolate icecream has no right to be delicious as it is. I have the biggest sweet tooth, and my biggest hesitation about going back to the banting diet was not being able to gobble up all the sweets that I want, but I NEEDED to go back to banting. For me, it has a lot to do with have intestinal issues, and banting is a keto diet that really restricts your diet to being extremely healthy. I’ve done it a few times and I’ve found that it seriously helps my symptoms so while I miss sweets, I do enjoy not being in pain.
A little side note: Definitely check out the link to get all the information but the bare bones of this keto diet is there as three lists of foods you should or shouldn’t eat. The green list is what you can just chomp away on. the yellow list is what you have to properly portion for your day. For example, one cup of strawberries is your max for the day, that sort of thing. Then there’s the red list which is what you should not eat, for example most carbs, sugars, processed or packaged food. Essentially, your eating fruits and veggies, proteins and healthy fats.
That being said, I can’t ever not have sweets again. I wouldn’t survive! So I have been testing out SO many keto dessert recipes to find some that are actually delicious, because some of them, I’m not going to lie are just downright a disgrace to the world of desserts. So when I made this keto icecream my hopes weren’t too high but it blew me away. I was so pleased to find how much I enjoyed it, and my husband who is a sucker for icecream fought me over it to get the last bite.
